    Paradip Port Authority had the honour of welcoming Anu Garg, Hon’ble Chief Secretary of Government of Odisha, on her maiden visit to the Port after assuming charge.

    She was received by P. L. Haranadh, Chairman, PPA, in the presence of the District Collector and Superintendent of Police, Jagatsinghpur, along with other senior officials.

    During her visit to the Administrative Building, the Chief Secretary was apprised of key infrastructural and technological advancements undertaken by the Port. Discussions focused on major maritime initiatives including the proposed Bahuda Satellite Port, development of the Puri Cruise Terminal aimed at boosting coastal tourism, and the Shipbuilding Cluster at Kendrapara. Broader port-led development initiatives across Odisha were also reviewed.

    Expressing satisfaction over the Port’s consistent cargo growth, she appreciated its strategic expansion plans and forward-looking development roadmap. T. Venu Gopal, Deputy Chairman, PPA, along with senior officials, were present on the occasion.

    The Chief Secretary also visited the Wet Basin, where a Ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented by the CISF Unit of PPA, marking the occasion with due dignity and protocol.
