Goa-based Chowgule and Company has successfully launched C 286 Luxomar at its Loutolim shipyard, marking the completion of a 12-vessel shipbuilding series for Swedish shipping company ATOB@C.

The launch represents a significant milestone for the shipyard, as Luxomar is the final vessel in the series constructed for ATOB@C, a subsidiary of ESL Shipping. According to the company, the completion of all 12 vessel launches within a span of 33 months highlights its ability to maintain schedule discipline, construction quality, and operational efficiency.

The series commenced with the launch of the first vessel in December 2023, and the successful delivery of the final launch underscores the shipyard’s growing capabilities in executing large-scale international shipbuilding contracts.

Chowgule Shipyard stated that the achievement reflects the dedication, precision, and teamwork of its workforce and project partners. The company also expressed gratitude to ATOB@C for its continued trust and collaboration throughout the programme.

The completion of the 12-vessel series further strengthens Chowgule Shipyard’s position in the global shipbuilding sector and reinforces its track record in delivering specialised vessels for international customers.
