Recognising the importance of efficient and safe operations, leading Indian logistics provider CJ DARCL is embracing technology to enhance its services. The company has integratedAI-powered dashcams across its fleet, enabling real-time communication with drivers, route optimisation, and driver behaviour monitoring. This translates to significant improvements in road safety and operational efficiency.

CJ Darcl’s commitment to innovation extends beyond vehicles, says Nikhil Agarwal, president, CJ Darcl Logistics.

“We have implemented an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system across its branch offices. This streamlines various functions, including managing the delicate balance between supply and demand, and optimising resource allocation,” said Agarwal. Additionally, a Warehouse Management System (WMS) has been deployed to streamline warehouse operations, ensuring better efficiency and accuracy in inventory control.

“Our focus on innovation and technology has not just bolstered operational efficiency,” said Agarwal, “but has also elevated the quality of service we provide. This has strengthened our relationships with both customers and vendors.”

Agarwal feels that the use of tech has well-positioned the company to navigate the evolving logistics landscape.

With a widespread network spanning over 180 branches and employing over 4000 individuals nationwide, the company has solidified its position as a key player in the industry.

The company has over 800,000 vehicles and owning more than 990 fleets operating across 5,200+ destinations in PAN India.

Embracing a ‘technology-first’ culture, CJ DARCL has changed its operations through the deployment of a cloud-native Transport Management System (TMS). “This mobile-first solution streamlines FTL operations, offering enhanced self-service capabilities and facilitating seamless processes from order booking to shipment tracking,” said Agrawal.
