    French ocean carrier CMA CGM has announced new peak season surcharges to Africa, effective from 1 August.

    The Marseille-based box line will apply a new PSS of €400/US$400/GB£300 per reefer container from North Europe, including Baltic, Scandinavia, UK, West Mediterranean, East Mediterranean, Adriatic, Morocco, North Africa and Black Sea, to West Africa.

    Additionally, CMA CGM will implement a PSS of €200/US$200/GB£150 per dry and tank container from North Europe, United States and Canada to Mauritania and Gambia.
