CMA CGM has strengthened its partnership with Marport by enhancing its FEMEX service, reinforcing the terminal’s role as a strategic transshipment hub and improving connectivity across key regional and international trade routes. The move is expected to provide customers with greater service reliability, expanded cargo handling capabilities, and more efficient access to global markets.

The upgraded FEMEX service is designed to optimise vessel operations and streamline the movement of containerised cargo through Marport, enabling faster transshipment and improved network efficiency. The enhanced service is also expected to support growing trade volumes by offering more flexible shipping options for exporters, importers, and freight forwarders.

Marport’s advanced terminal infrastructure, high operational productivity, and strategic location make it a key gateway for cargo moving between Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and other major global markets. The strengthened collaboration with CMA CGM is expected to further improve cargo flows and enhance schedule reliability across the carrier’s regional service network.

Industry observers note that the expanded partnership reflects the growing importance of efficient transshipment hubs in global container shipping. As supply chains become increasingly complex, shipping lines continue to invest in strategic port partnerships that improve operational performance and reduce transit times.

The enhanced FEMEX service is expected to benefit a wide range of industries, including automotive, consumer goods, electronics, chemicals, retail, and manufacturing, by providing more dependable shipping schedules and stronger connectivity to international markets.

Port officials and logistics stakeholders believe the service upgrade will contribute to higher container throughput while strengthening Marport’s position as one of the region’s leading container terminals. Increased vessel calls and cargo volumes are also expected to generate additional business opportunities for terminal operators, logistics providers, and supply chain partners.

With the enhancement of the FEMEX service, CMA CGM and Marport continue to deepen their strategic partnership, supporting more efficient maritime logistics, improved customer service, and stronger trade connectivity across regional and global shipping networks.
