CMA CGM has announced plans to expand its coverage in the Democratic Republic of Congo by adding to the present feeder system.

The company’s new product, intermodal Kinshasa, will interact with the existing ASAF, MIDAS 1, and EURAF 1 capabilities, expanding inland coverage to Kinshasa.

CMA CGM offers two choices for customs clearance, ensuring flexibility and increased experience:

    • Option 1: Ramp delivery in Kinshasa, with customs clearance in Kinshasa TCKP with 15 days free time.
    • Option 2: Door Kinshasa with 10 days free at Lufu depot border allowing you to do customs clearance.

The solution reportedly offers transit time inland for nine days.

Recently, CMA CGM announced that its Benjamin Franklin ship experienced extreme weather conditions off the beaches of South Africa, resulting in the loss of 44 containers at sea.
