CMA CGM has announced significant enhancements to their NWUK and SCUK services, which connect Spain via the port of Bilbao with Ireland, the UK, and the Netherlands.

These improvements will take effect from 21 June 2024 and aim to serve clients better while demonstrating CMA CGM’s commitment to expanding and strengthening its short-sea door-to-door services across Europe.

To ensure unmatched schedule reliability, CMA CGM is deploying an additional vessel, bringing the total to five vessels operating across four services. This unique offering from Bilbao to the UK and the North West continent is tailored to meet client’s needs with precision and efficiency.

    Key service enhancements include:

    – Boosted Reliability: Five vessels in rotation ensure four dependable weekly departures from Bilbao.
    – Predictable Schedule: Consistent, fixed-day departures you can count on.
    – Increased Liverpool Trips: Three weekly sailings to Liverpool for enhanced service.
    – Efficient Transshipment: Quick connections at Rotterdam to Scandinavia and the Baltics.
    – Dublin Specialization: Optimized departures for the fast transit of perishables.
    – Extensive Rail Network: Block trains from key areas in Spain to Bilbao.
    – Ample Container Access: High availability of both ambient and reefer 45 HCPW containers.
    – Comprehensive Logistics: Cross-docking and warehousing services available.
    – Eco-Friendly Shipping: More sustainable than road transport, reducing environmental impact.

The new rotation will begin with the departure of the vessel “Encounter” from Bilbao on 21 June 2024.
