The Cabinet of Ministers approved a resolution presented by the Ports, Shipping, and Aviation Minister announcing the appointment of service providers for Cochin International Airport in India and Jakarta International Airport in Indonesia.

The contracts have been awarded to AI Airport Services Ltd., for Cochin International Airport and PT. Gapura Angkasa for Jakarta International Airport.

The process of selecting service providers for Cochin and Jakarta International Airports was initiated when SriLankan Airlines Co. called for bids to manage and control various critical divisions within the airports.

The divisions under consideration include air passenger services, mobile air elevators, and air cargo handling.

Following a comprehensive evaluation of the bids received, the Standing Procurement Committee appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers recommended the selection of the two firms.
