    In a significant milestone for inland container logistics in North India, the first-ever block train carrying 45 containers of Arkas Line was successfully flagged off from ICD Panki – Kanpur Logistics Park to Nhava Sheva Port on Friday evening, May 8, 2026.

    The train movement marked a major achievement for ICD Panki, reinforcing its growing role as a key logistics and export hub in North India. Through this operation, Frozen Buffalo Meat cargo was exported to Port of Alexandria in refrigerated containers under controlled temperature conditions, demonstrating the advanced reefer cargo handling capabilities of the Panki terminal.

    Senior officials from Arkas Line and its India representative Parekh Marine Agencies attended the flag-off ceremony. Among those present were Country Head Mr. Tumay Ulutas, North Head & Regional Manager Mr. Rajat Pathak, Assistant Manager Mr. Jayesh Vaidya, and Kanpur Branch Manager Mr. Sarvesh Awasthi.

    Representing Pristine Group were President Ms. Poroma Munshi Rebello, Country Sales Head Mr. Manoj Kumar, General Manager Mr. Shadab Khan, and Terminal Head of Kanpur Logistics Park Mr. Pramid Adya.

    Senior Manager Mr. Smaran Srivastava, along with Mr. Rahul Jaiswal and Mr. Prashant Chandel, also participated in the event.

    The successful execution of this dedicated block train operation is expected to strengthen export connectivity from Kanpur and provide fresh momentum to future reefer and containerized export activities through ICD Panki – Kanpur Logistics Park.
