    Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) has started a weekly train from Varnama logistic park near Vadodara to Mundra port.

    A weekly rail service is started from Gati Shakti multimodal cargo terminal in Varnama to Mundra port. CONCOR has started the weekly train which will run on every Saturday. The service kicked off from 12th August- Saturday.

    Gati Shakti multimodal cargo terminal chief manager Rajat Gupta said that the service will be helpful for delivery of containers for the import and export for the industries. The industries of central Gujarat such as textile, chemical, pharmaceuticals will benefit from the service.

    The industries of central Gujarat import and export via JNPT and Hazira port at present. The industries have to often bear damage charges and logistic expenses due to delay in container transport. The weekly railway service will benefit for the import and export of the industries, the officials said.
