Crowley, a Florida-based transportation and logistics company has announced the acquisition of Main Line Inc., a vessel mooring company based in Seattle, to improve its harbour services.

The acquisition became effective on January 1 and aims to provide customers at the ports of Seattle and Tacoma, Washington, with a more integrated solution for vessel mooring and ship assistance.

Main Line has been a trusted provider of vessel mooring services in the Pacific Northwest, known for its safe and reliable operations.

As part of the acquisition, the staff of Main Line will join Crowley to ensure uninterrupted services. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

“For decades, our customers have put their trust in Crowley to ensure their vessels arrive and depart ports safely and reliably,” said James C. Fowler, the senior vice president and general manager of Crowley Shipping.

“The addition of vessel mooring to our harbour services product offering ensures the highest levels of coordination between the critical services of vessel mooring and ship assist. As a result, Crowley customers can have even more confidence their vessels will be docked and sailed without delay or incident,” he added.

Crowley, a well-established name in the maritime sector for over a century, has consistently deployed advanced and eco-friendly tugboats to support efficient and timely port operations.

These technologically advanced vessels are designed to reduce emissions while ensuring high performance.
