    Agriculture Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said that daily egg consumption in Sri Lanka has increased significantly, rising by three million eggs.

    Previously, the daily consumption was eight million eggs, but it has now grown to 11 million.

    Meanwhile, Chairman of the Sri Lanka State Trading Corporation Asiri Walisundara said that egg imports from India are expected to begin within the next 10 to 15 days.
