Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCI) has appointed Susanta Kumar Purohit, IRSEE, as Additional Director (Promoter – Non-Executive & Non-Independent) with effect from 14 September 2026.
Purohit is currently the Chairperson of V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority and holds the additional charge of Chairman, Paradip Port Authority, effective 1 September 2026. His appointment to the DCI Board was approved through a resolution by circulation.
An IRSEE officer of the 1996 batch, Purohit holds a BE in Electrical Engineering and a postgraduate diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations. He has previously served as Joint Secretary in the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals and held positions in Indian Railways, the Ministry of Power and the Government of Odisha.
Purohit will hold office until the next Annual General Meeting or until shareholder approval is obtained through postal ballot within three months, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. According to DCI’s disclosure, he does not hold any shares in the company or any other directorships.
