DHL Express is set to increase its shipping rates in India by an average of 8.9% from January 2027, as the international express delivery company adjusts pricing for its services in the country.

The rate revision will apply to DHL Express shipments in India and is expected to affect businesses using international express services for documents, parcels and time-sensitive commercial shipments.

Annual price adjustments are typically introduced by express logistics companies to account for changes in operating expenses, infrastructure, transportation and handling costs. The latest increase will therefore raise the overall logistics cost for customers shipping through DHL Express from India.

The rate hike is particularly relevant for exporters and importers that rely on express delivery for urgent consignments. Small and medium-sized businesses using international courier services may also need to factor the higher charges into their shipping budgets from the start of 2027.

DHL Express has a significant role in India’s cross-border express logistics market, supporting international trade through its global delivery network. Rate changes by major express operators can influence shipping costs for businesses sending samples, documents, spare parts and other time-sensitive goods.

Customers are expected to review the revised rate schedules and assess the impact on their international shipping costs before the new charges take effect.

The 8.9% increase, effective January 2027, represents a broad adjustment to DHL Express pricing in India, while actual charges for individual shipments will depend on factors such as destination, shipment weight, service type and applicable surcharges.
