dnata handled over 1 million tonnes of cargo in Dubai between April 2024 and March 2025, marking its highest-ever volume processed in a single year. The milestone represents a 30% year-over-year increase. The company achieved this by operating from its facilities at Dubai International (DXB) and Al Maktoum – Dubai World Central (DWC) airports, serving more than 120 airline customers. The cargo included perishables, pharmaceuticals, dangerous goods, live animals, aircraft engines and vehicles.
Guillaume Crozier, Chief Cargo Officer at dnata, said, “We are incredibly proud to reach this milestone in Dubai, the birthplace of dnata and our largest cargo station. This achievement reflects the strength of our operations and the vital role dnata plays in enabling the smooth and efficient flow of goods through the emirate.” He added, “Our success is built on the dedication of our people and the outstanding collaboration with our industry partners and authorities, including Dubai Airports, Dubai Customs and Dubai Police.”
dnata has over 2,000 professionals working at the two Dubai airports and offers end-to-end cargo handling services. Recent investments include the rollout of OneCargo, a digital cargo management system that automates safety checks, quality monitoring, reporting and ULD
management. The system also uses AI-driven analytics to give customers real-time insights into demand and available capacity.
The company has also integrated autonomous drones into its operations, which helped reduce processing times and improve shipment tracking accuracy. dnata has transitioned its entire non-electric ground support equipment fleet in Dubai to run on biodiesel. It also repurposes and recycles materials like cargo pallets and nets as part of its sustainability efforts.
Globally, dnata provides ground handling and cargo services at over 90 airports in 16 countries. In the 2023–24 financial year, the company handled 2.9 million tonnes of cargo worldwide, reflecting a 5% growth compared to the previous year.
