    A high-level delegation of European experts on certification and EU regulations, supported by GH2 India, visited the Green Hydrogen Plant at Kandla Port to assess ongoing developments in India’s clean energy sector. During the visit, the delegation was given a detailed briefing on Kandla Port’s ambitious plans to scale up green hydrogen production and its broader strategy to become a leading hub for sustainable fuels. Officials outlined upcoming projects, including Bio-Methanol and eMethanol production facilities, which are currently in the pipeline and expected to play a key role in reducing the port’s carbon footprint and supporting India’s energy transition.

    The visiting experts also exchanged insights on EU standards, certification frameworks, and best practices for ensuring compliance with international sustainability benchmarks. Highlighting the port’s vision, Deputy Chairman Shri Nilabhra Dasgupta interacted with the delegates and emphasized the importance of collaboration between Indian and European stakeholders to build a robust green hydrogen ecosystem. The discussions underscored Kandla Port’s commitment to advancing clean energy initiatives and positioning itself as a model for decarbonized port operations in the region.
