Deendayal Port Authority Chairman Sushil Kumar Singh inaugurated a week-long “Ann-Shetra” and buttermilk distribution drive for port workers at Cargo Jetty No. 16, Kandla, reaffirming the Port’s commitment towards the welfare and well-being of its workforce.
The initiative, jointly organised by the Indian Rice Exporters Federation and DPA, aims to provide nutritious food and refreshing buttermilk to Shramik brothers and sisters working tirelessly within the port premises during the peak summer season.
Addressing the gathering, the DPA Chairman appreciated the humanitarian initiative and emphasized that the strength and growth of the Port are driven by the dedication and hard work of its Shramiks, who play a vital role in supporting the nation’s maritime trade and logistics sector.
Representatives of the Indian Rice Exporters Federation expressed gratitude to the DPA administration for its proactive support and stakeholder-friendly approach. The Federation also appreciated the progressive measures introduced by DPA, including the recently implemented berthing policy expected to enhance operational efficiency and benefit port users.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by B. Ratna Sekhar Rao along with prominent trade and industry representatives, including Tejabhai Kangad, Mahesh Tirthani, Narendra Ramani and Nikit Ramdasani.
The event reflected a collective spirit of service, cooperation and commitment towards the welfare of the maritime community at DPA Kandla.
