Folk Maritime has officially unveiled its latest addition, MV Folk Jubail, as part of its fleet modernization and expansion program.

The newly branded vessel, now sailing under the Saudi Arabian flag and registered in Jeddah, carries a capacity of 1,118 TEUs. Measuring 147.87 meters in length and 23.25 meters in breadth, the ship is designed to enhance efficiency while reinforcing Folk Maritime’s corporate identity through its refreshed livery.

The unveiling underscores Folk Maritime’s strategy to expand its owned fleet and reduce dependence on chartered vessels. With the addition of MV Folk Jubail, the company now operates a fleet of eight vessels—including five owned and three chartered—serving key trade lanes across the Red Sea, Arabian Gulf, and Indian Subcontinent.

“This milestone reflects our commitment to delivering reliable shipping solutions while supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 of becoming a global logistics hub,” the company said in a statement.

The MV Folk Jubail joins a growing lineup of vessels such as Folk Jeddah, Folk Jazan, Folk Dammam, and Folk Yanbu, further positioning Folk Maritime as a dynamic regional carrier with global ambitions.
