    Nagpur is set to become a crucial logistics hub in India, with the development of a Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal (GCT) at Sindi dry port.

    The agreement was signed by Central Railway’s Nagpur division, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority, and National Highways Logistics Management Limited.

    This marks the third Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal in the division, complementing those owned by JSW Steel at Kalmeshwar and MP Birla Cement at Mukutban on Majri-Adilabad section.

    The new greenfield airport at Parandur will have three passenger terminals between two runways. It will be accessible via a link road from Chennai-Bengaluru expressway. The design includes aircraft bays, taxiways, and a metro rail connection.

    Maldives will conduct independent hydrographic surveys, asserting ownership over EEZ, and reviewing agreements with India. Indian troops will be withdrawn, and China’s presence is notable. Previous administration had signed agreement during PM Modi’s visit.
