Delhi Airport handled 0.63 million tonnes of cargo in the first half of FY27, up 12% year on year. Cargo revenue rose 15% to ₹2.8 billion, contributing 14% of the airport’s non-aeronautical revenue. GMR Cargo and Logistics Ltd. has also signed a licence agreement with FedEx Express to operate a dedicated express cargo terminal at Cargo City, strengthening the airport’s international logistics capabilities.

Hyderabad Airport recorded its highest-ever cargo volumes, handling 52,000 tonnes in Q2FY27 and approximately 102,000 tonnes in H1FY27. The airport signed an MoU with Brussels Airport to strengthen air cargo connectivity and establish more efficient trade links between Hyderabad and Europe.

GMR is also expanding its cargo footprint across its newer airport operations. Bhogapuram Airport, which commenced commercial operations on August 17, 2026, has dedicated cargo handling capacity of 25,000 tonnes annually. Meanwhile, cargo operations at Mopa Airport in Goa are gradually scaling up.

The cargo business delivered significant financial contributions at the two established hubs. Delhi Cargo reported H1FY27 income of ₹4.71 billion, EBITDA of ₹1.36 billion and profit before tax of ₹1.32 billion. Hyderabad’s cargo subsidiary recorded income of ₹1.68 billion, EBITDA of ₹708 million and profit after tax of ₹445 million during the same period.

With sustained cargo growth across its airport network, dedicated infrastructure investments and international partnerships, GAL is strengthening cargo logistics as a key growth driver, supporting revenue diversification and long-term profitability beyond its core airport operations.
