At the Smart Ports & Safe Navigation Roadshow on the theme “Connected Seas: Smart Ports Empowering Smart Navigation”, Chief Minister of Goa, Shri Pramod Sawant, underscored the state’s rich maritime legacy while outlining its vision of becoming a modern maritime hub.

Highlighting Goa’s growing prominence as a cruise destination, the Chief Minister noted that cruising is among the fastest-growing segments of the state’s economy, offering significant potential for tourism and allied industries.

In a major announcement, Shri Sawant revealed that new RoPax services will soon be launched to connect North and South Goa. This move, he said, will enhance regional connectivity, improve ease of travel, and provide sustainable transport solutions for residents and visitors alike.

The roadshow brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to explore smart port technologies and safer navigation practices, setting the stage for Goa’s next phase of maritime growth.
