GT Lines has launched Gulf Connect, a structured intra-Gulf shipping network designed to enhance regional connectivity across key Middle East markets through three dedicated service loops and multiple weekly sailings.

The launch coincides with a significant milestone for the carrier, which recorded two dedicated vessel calls this week at its Group Umm Qasr Iraq Commercial Terminal, underscoring its growing commitment to providing reliable maritime links to Iraq.

The Gulf Connect network comprises three dedicated services:

Sharjah Iraq Express (SIX): Sharjah – Umm Qasr – Shuwaikh – Sharjah
Sharjah KSA Express (SKX): Sharjah – Dammam – Sharjah
Sharjah Qatar Express (SQX): Sharjah – Hamad – Bahrain – Sharjah

According to the company, the network is designed to offer optimized transit times, dependable schedules, and seamless integration across GT terminals, facilitating efficient cargo movement between Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and the UAE.

Supported by strategic connectivity through Khorfakkan and Sharjah, Gulf Connect aims to provide shippers with greater flexibility and reliability for intra-regional trade, further strengthening logistics links across the Gulf region.
