    Hapag-Lloyd has announced that a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) will be implemented for shipments from South Europe to certain destinations in the Arabian Gulf.

    This surcharge will apply to all 20′ and 40′ dry & reefer containers, including high cube equipment, starting with sailings on 3 August 2024, and will remain in effect until further notice.

    The PSS rates will be as follows:

    • US$250 per 20′ and 40′ Standard Container
    • US$250 per 40′ High Cube Container
    • US$250 per Reefer Container & Special Equipment

    South Europe: Italy, Turkiye, Iberia (Spain), Egypt, Med Agents (Albania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Algeria, Georgia, Greece, Croatia, Israel, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Montenegro, Malta, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Syria, Tunisia, Ukraine), France (Fos-sur-Mer)

    Arabian Gulf destinations: Saudi Arabia (Eastern Province: Dammam and Jubail), Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, Qatar.
