    German ocean carrier Hapag-Lloyd has announced an update on the Emergency Space Contingency Surcharge (ESC) for all container types implemented from 1 August.

    Effective from 1 November, the updated ESC will be €350 per container from North Europe (Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Ireland, Norway, Finland, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, Estonia, Iceland and Luxembourg) to West Africa (Angola, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo (D.R.C.), Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Benin, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Gambia, Guinea, Liberia, Mauretania, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Senegal).
