Hong Kong Air Cargo has appointed Aeroprime as its General Sales and Service Agent (GSSA) in India and entered into a separate agreement with Aeroglobe Aviation Services for cargo handling in Turkey, strengthening its presence in two important markets.
Under the India agreement, Aeroprime will oversee cargo sales, marketing, customer engagement and business development for Hong Kong Air Cargo’s services to and from Delhi. The partnership aims to expand the airline’s reach in India’s growing air cargo market and strengthen support for exporters and freight forwarders.
Trade between India and East Asia continues to expand across key sectors, including electronics, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, automotive components, fashion, perishables and e-commerce, creating growing opportunities for air cargo operators.
Hong Kong Air Cargo Vice President – Commercial Raymond Chen said Delhi is a major gateway for high-value and time-sensitive shipments, describing India as a strategically important market for the airline.
Aeroprime Group Executive Director and CEO Abhishek Goyal said Hong Kong remains a key global air cargo hub, offering seamless connectivity to major manufacturing, trading and consumption markets. He added that the agreement reflects Aeroprime’s commitment to supporting the logistics community.
Separately, Hong Kong Air Cargo has commenced cargo handling operations in Turkey through its partnership with Istanbul-based Aeroglobe Aviation Services. The agreement covers handling support for the airline’s scheduled freighter services between Istanbul Airport and Hong Kong International Airport.
Aeroglobe announced the commencement of the partnership in a social media post on June 16, confirming that it had officially started providing cargo handling services for the airline in Turkey.
Its scope of services includes aircraft handling supervision, ground support coordination and customised management solutions for commercial and private aviation clients. The company said the agreement underscores its commitment to delivering reliable and efficient aviation services while supporting the growth of regional air cargo operations.
The latest partnerships come as Hong Kong Air Cargo continues to expand its international network, particularly across Europe. In addition to its established Istanbul operations, the airline has recently added Cyprus and Athens to its network. It began its regional European expansion in October 2023 with the launch of services to Milan Malpensa.
The appointments in India and Turkey are expected to strengthen the airline’s commercial reach, ground handling capabilities and service delivery across key international cargo markets.
