Hutchison Ports Sohar has proudly received the maiden call of the RWG service operated by Regional Container Lines (RCL), marking a significant step in strengthening Oman’s maritime connectivity across key regional markets.

The RWG service establishes a strategic route connecting Sohar with major trade hubs including Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Jebel Ali, and Umm Qasr. The new service is designed to provide customers with faster transit times, improved schedule reliability, and highly efficient shipping solutions across the Gulf, Indian Subcontinent, and Iraq.

The introduction of the RWG service is expected to enhance trade flows, reduce supply chain disruptions, and create greater flexibility for importers and exporters operating within these dynamic markets. By expanding direct connectivity, Hutchison Ports Sohar continues to reinforce its position as a growing logistics and transshipment hub serving regional and international trade lanes.

This milestone further underscores Sohar’s rising importance in global shipping networks and its commitment to delivering world-class port services aligned with evolving market demands.
