According to ProChile, India has become one of the fastest-growing markets for Chilean exports. Exports to this destination amounted to $64 million in May and $289 million in the first five months of 2024. Among the outstanding products are fresh apples, with US$10 million and an 87% increase, and cauliflower seeds, exceeding one million dollars and a 790% growth.

Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia were other important destinations for Chilean exports in May. Exports to Brazil, the third destination for non-copper-non-lithium shipments, amounted to $258 million in May (+18.9%) and $1.18 billion in the first five months of 2024. Exports to Mexico and Colombia increased by 0.6% and 14.6% in May, totaling $617 million and US$387 million in 2024, respectively.

ProChile is focusing its 2024 strategy on these markets, organizing events such as the Chile Summit Colombia and the first Chile Week India. These events seek to position Chile as a reliable partner and a hub to enter Latin America, promoting the exportable supply of Chilean goods and services. The LATAM Meeting in Guadalajara and Mexico City, and the Chile Week Brazil are other activities planned to strengthen commercial relations and explore new business opportunities.
