The India-flagged LPG carrier Jag Vikram has safely arrived at Kandla Port after successfully transiting the strategically sensitive Strait of Hormuz.

According to port authorities, the vessel was carrying a significant consignment of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), reinforcing India’s energy supply chain amid heightened geopolitical tensions in West Asia. The safe passage of the ship comes at a time when concerns over maritime security in the region remain elevated.

Officials noted that the vessel adhered to all safety and navigation protocols while crossing the Strait, which is one of the world’s most critical shipping lanes for oil and gas transport. The arrival at Kandla ensures uninterrupted LPG supply to domestic markets, supporting both household consumption and industrial demand.

The successful voyage highlights the resilience of India’s maritime logistics and the importance of maintaining secure sea routes for energy imports. Shipping companies and authorities continue to closely monitor developments in the region to ensure the safety of vessels and cargo.

Industry observers say that continued safe transit through key chokepoints like the Strait of Hormuz is vital for stabilising global energy markets and ensuring supply chain continuity.
