India Post and the GJEPC convened a meeting on 15 October in an endeavour to address challenges faced by exporters in shipping goods. Shri Himanshu Chaudhari, ADG (International Relations and Global Business), New Delhi, and Dr. Sudhir Jakhere (IPoS), Assistant Postmaster General (Business Development and Marketing) for Maharashtra Postal Circle, represented India Post. Shri Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC; Shri
Mithilesh Pandey, Director – Head Membership, and other Council officials participated in the discussions.

The primary objective of the meeting was to explore avenues for India Post to tailor its services to the specific requirements of the gem and jewellery industry. By identifying areas of mutual interest and potential collaboration, the two organisations aim to facilitate smoother export processes and boost the industry’s growth.
