    According to expert estimates in 2025 Russia exported rapeseed oil to India for the first time on record – 1.5 thousand tons worth $1.6 million. Previously no shipments of this product had been recorded.

    It is noted that according to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India the country began actively purchasing rapeseed oil in 2025. The leading exporter to India in the first 6 months of this year was the UAE which shipped products worth almost $8 million.

    According to Indian customs data over the six-month period the country purchased rapeseed oil worth more than $15 million which is almost 7 times more than in the same period last year.
