India’s Total Movements recently completed the port-to-door delivery of 1,500 cubic metres of critical oil and gas equipment from Saudi Arabia to a project site in Singapore. Elsewhere , the company completed a “float-on, float-off” operation of a Barge Mounted Power Plant.

For the oil and gas equipment, the company managed the entire logistics chain, encompassing loading at the designated Saudi Arabian port, sea freight to Singapore, and final delivery to the site by road. A key requirement of the operation was the urgent delivery of hammer equipment. Total Movements ensured timely delivery without compromising safety or quality, the company said.

Direct sailing from the Saudi Arabian loading port to Singapore’s discharge port streamlined the logistics, minimising potential delays. The company attributed the project’s success to close coordination with all stakeholders, including port authorities and on-the-ground transport teams.

“This operation underscores Total Movements’ dedication to delivering time-critical, multimodal logistics solutions with precision, efficiency, and reliability,” the company said in a statement, reinforcing its position as a partner in the global logistics sector.

    BMPP Shipment

Elsewhere, Total Movements International completed a complex “float-on, float-off” operation to transport a 60MW Barge Mounted Power Plant (BMPP II) to Kolaka, South East Sulawesi, Indonesia.

The power plant, weighing 4,360 tonnes and measuring 72m x 27.4m x 35.3m, was moved using a specialised semi-submersible vessel. The operation, involving the loading of one vessel onto another, carried inherent risks, including potential collisions, safety hazards, cargo damage, delays, and cost overruns, the company said.

Total Movements stated that meticulous planning and a focus on safety enabled the team to mitigate these risks and ensure a smooth and timely operation. The company leveraged its experience in project logistics and freight forwarding to deliver the BMPP to its destination.
