The Indian Ports Association (IPA) has issued a corrigendum for its Centre of Excellence (CoE) Empanelment Programme, revising the upper age limit for applicants from 35 years to 45 years.

The amendment, published on the official IPA website, is expected to broaden participation by enabling a larger pool of experienced professionals and industry experts to apply for empanelment under the programme.

The revised eligibility criterion aligns with ongoing efforts to strengthen India’s maritime sector by attracting skilled talent to support port modernization, innovation, and capacity-building initiatives. The Centre of Excellence programme is designed to engage professionals in key projects and collaborative initiatives involving major ports and maritime stakeholders across the country.

Industry observers note that the increased age limit could enhance knowledge-sharing and bring greater practical expertise to projects supporting India’s port-led development agenda and maritime transformation goals.

Eligible candidates are encouraged to review the updated guidelines and submit their applications through the official IPA portal.
