J M Baxi Group has successfully completed the CERES Project at L&T Kattupalli (MFFK), marking a major achievement in heavy transportation and marine loadout operations.
The technically challenging project involved the movement and loadout of 110 modules across 23 lots, with a combined weight of approximately 64,000 MT. The operation was executed using 120 Scheuerle Generation 4 SPMT axles and five vessels.
According to the company, the project required detailed engineering, precise SPMT planning and disciplined field execution to address varying load requirements, site constraints, equipment availability and operational conditions.
The scope covered multiple critical stages, including load distribution, internal shifting, positioning and final vessel loadout. Each stage was engineered to ensure safe and efficient handling of the heavy modules under complex site and operational conditions.
J M Baxi Group said the successful completion of the project reflects the collective efforts of its Engineering, Operations, HSE, Maintenance and Project Management teams, whose coordinated execution helped deliver the complex project safely and efficiently.
The CERES project further highlights the growing capabilities of Indian logistics companies in executing large-scale project cargo, heavy transportation and marine loadout operations.
