Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla, reached a major milestone on October 6, 2026, crossing 100 million tonnes (MMT) of cargo handled in its fastest-ever journey to the landmark volume.

The port reached the 100 MMT milestone 51 days earlier than it did in the previous financial year, reflecting a sharp acceleration in cargo handling and operational performance.

The achievement further strengthens Kandla’s position as one of India’s leading mega ports and a key gateway for the country’s trade and logistics ecosystem.

The record cargo throughput highlights the port’s continued momentum and growing role in supporting India’s expanding trade flows.
