KPR Mills has announced a ₹1,225 crore investment plan to expand its textile and apparel operations, as the company looks to strengthen manufacturing capacity and capture rising demand in domestic and international markets.

The expansion programme is expected to cover multiple areas of the company’s textile value chain, including additional production capacity and investments in modern manufacturing infrastructure. The move is aimed at improving operational scale and supporting the company’s long-term growth strategy.

KPR Mills, a major integrated textile manufacturer, operates across segments including yarn, fabric, garments and related textile products. Its integrated business model allows the company to serve customers across different stages of the textile supply chain.

The planned investment comes at a time when global apparel sourcing is undergoing changes, with international buyers seeking diversified manufacturing bases and reliable supply chains. Indian textile manufacturers are looking to take advantage of these shifts by increasing capacity, improving efficiency and expanding their export presence.

The expansion could also help KPR Mills respond more effectively to demand from overseas markets. Increased apparel and textile production capacity would provide the company with greater flexibility to serve international customers while strengthening its position in global supply chains.

Technology upgrades and modern production facilities are expected to form an important part of the investment programme. Such investments can improve productivity, product quality and cost efficiency while helping manufacturers meet increasingly stringent requirements from global buyers.

The ₹1,225 crore expansion reflects KPR Mills’ confidence in the medium- to long-term prospects of the textile and apparel industry. The company is expected to implement the investment programme in phases, with capacity additions coming on stream as individual projects are completed.

The initiative could further strengthen KPR Mills’ manufacturing base and support its ambitions to increase production, expand exports and build a larger presence in the global textile and apparel market.
