LG Electronics India is expanding its operations at Sri City in Andhra Pradesh as part of a strategy to strengthen manufacturing capacity and increase exports from India.
The expansion is expected to support LG India’s growing production requirements while strengthening Sri City’s role as an export-oriented manufacturing hub. The company aims to increase the contribution of exports to its overall revenue as it expands its international market presence.
LG’s Sri City facility manufactures a range of consumer electronics and appliances for domestic and overseas markets. The location provides access to major transport and logistics networks, supporting the movement of finished products to ports and international destinations.
The company’s export push comes as global manufacturers increasingly use India as a production and supply-chain base. Higher export volumes from the Sri City facility could strengthen LG India’s integration into the company’s global manufacturing network.
The expansion also aligns with India’s efforts to increase electronics and consumer durable exports and attract investment in large-scale manufacturing.
With additional capacity at Sri City, LG India is positioned to serve both Indian demand and overseas markets while increasing the role of India in its global supply chain.
