CMA CGM and Maersk have decided to remove Durban from the port rotation of their joint Middle East-West Africa Midas1/Mesawa service.

The decision was taken due to heavy congestion in South Africa and will be effective until, at least, the end of January.

Additionally, Port Elizabeth and Port Reunion will be called alternatingly by the companies’ joint Midas2/Protea service.

The temporary setup of the two aforementioned services is:

    • Midas1/Mesawa: Dubai, UAE – Mundra, India – Pointe Noire, Congo – Tema, Ghana – Lagos, Nigeria – Cape Town, South Africa – Dubai
    • Midas2/Protea: Dubai, UAE – Mundra, India – Nhava Sheva, India – Durban, South Africa – Port Elizabeth, South Africa (fortnightly), Port Reunion (fortnightly) – Dubai
