A.P. Moller – Maersk (Maersk) Air Cargo (MAC) has taken receipt of the first of two new Boeing 777Fs.
This is Danish Airlines’ first Boeing 777. The transfer took place at Boeing’s headquarters in Seattle, Washington. A.P. Moller – Maersk (Maersk) is a global logistics integrator that owns Maersk Air Cargo.
The arrival of Maersk’s first Boeing 777F to its home airport in Billund, Denmark, is scheduled on 13 July.
The introduction of two Boeing 777Fs seeks to benefit Maersk’s air freight clients in China and Europe, notably in terms of increased capacity and efficiency.
Both will be deployed on Maersk’s current Europe-China route, beginning with three weekly flights and increasing to six weekly flights.
Aside from increased capacity on direct routes, the 777Fs will provide reduced transit times , as well as speedier processing and quality at the origin and destination.
Maersk ordered the two 777Fs in November 2021 to modernise its fleet. The delivery of the second aircraft is expected for later in Q3.
Maersk Air Cargo’s owned controlled fleet will thereafter consist of two Boeing 777Fs and twenty Boeing 767Fs.
Recently, Maersk unveiled its latest warehouse in Fredericia, Southern Denmark.
