India has launched the MAHA MedTech Mission, a strategic initiative aimed at boosting the country’s medical technology exports while focusing on affordable healthcare solutions for low-income nations. The mission seeks to enhance India’s presence in the global medtech sector by promoting innovative products, streamlining regulatory approvals, and facilitating international partnerships.

Under the mission, the government plans to support startups and established companies through export incentives, skill development programs, and market access initiatives. Officials highlighted that the program will prioritize supplying cost-effective medical devices and technologies to regions where access to advanced healthcare remains limited.

Industry experts expect the MAHA MedTech Mission to expand India’s export footprint, create new business opportunities, and strengthen the country’s reputation as a reliable supplier of quality, affordable medical technology globally.
