The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has announced the addition of SeaLead’s “5CX” shipping service to Jeddah Islamic Port to boost the Kingdom’s maritime connectivity with the world, support national exports, and reinforce the port’s competitive advantage.

The new service links Jeddah Islamic Port with 10 regional and international ports, including Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, and Nansha in China; Damietta in Egypt; Aliaga, Izmit, Istanbul, and Mersin in Türkiye; and Port Klang in Malaysia, with a handling capacity of up to 1,500 TEUs.

This initiative is part of Mawani’s broader efforts to improve the Kingdom’s status in global performance indices and enhance operational efficiency at Jeddah Islamic Port. It also supports the flow of national exports and imports in line with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which aims to position the Kingdom as a global logistics hub and a strategic link connecting three continents.
