The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has announced the addition of the new shipping service “MRX” by Milaha to Jeddah Islamic Port. This addition connects the Kingdom with ports in India, the UAE, Egypt, and Jordan.

This step aligns with Mawani’s efforts to improve Saudi Arabia’s ranking on the Liner Shipping Connectivity Index, enhance the operational efficiency of ports, and strengthen the Kingdom’s connections to global markets.

It contributes also to supporting national exports and imports in line with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy “NTLS”, to solidify the Kingdom’s standing as a global logistics hub bridging the three continents.

The new shipping service links Jeddah Islamic Port with Mundra Port in India, Aqaba in Jordan, Sokhna in Egypt, and Jebel Ali in the UAE, with a capacity of 2,500 TEUs.

Mawani’s partnerships with global shipping lines play a vital role in developing Saudi ports, enhancing their competitiveness, expanding maritime transport routes, and improving procedures related to operational and logistics services.
