Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has commenced operations at the Piraeus Car Terminal, marking a significant step in expanding its vehicle logistics network in the Mediterranean region.

The Japanese shipping company’s entry into the terminal is expected to strengthen roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) shipping services for the movement of automobiles and other wheeled cargo. The development will enhance connectivity between European markets and global automotive supply chains.

Located at the port of Piraeus, one of the busiest maritime gateways in the Mediterranean, the car terminal plays a key role in vehicle transshipment and distribution across Europe and neighboring regions.

Industry observers say the addition of MOL’s services at the terminal will help improve operational capacity and provide automobile manufacturers and logistics providers with greater flexibility and efficiency in vehicle transportation.
