The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has confirmed a collision on 10 November 2025 between the Singapore-registered passenger ferry Horizon 9 and the Marshall Islands-registered tanker La Digue.

The ferry was en route to Harbour Front Centre when the vessels collided off the Southern Islands at approximately 5:00 pm.

A MPA patrol craft was immediately dispatched to escort Horizon 9 back to Harbour Front Centre.

All 165 passengers and seven crew members were safely disembarked at the Regional Ferry Terminal.

The ferry sustained minor bow damage above the waterline but remained operational. The tanker reported no damage.

There were no injuries, pollution, or disruption to navigational traffic or port operations. The MPA is investigating the incident.

In October, the MPA had been informed on 26 October 2025 of a collision between the Singapore-registered container vessel WAN HAI A17 and the Chinese-registered vessel HAI LI 5 in waters off Guangzhou, China.
