MSC Air Cargo has appointed Alexander Padmore, a former FedEx executive, as the new Director for its Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Padmore brings a wealth of experience, having spent 17 years at FedEx, most recently serving as Managing Director of Transformation and Business Development. Based in Hong Kong, Padmore expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, stating he was “honoured to be part of the MSC family” and looked forward to the “exciting times ahead.”

This leadership change comes as MSC Air Cargo expands its operations in Asia, having recently taken delivery of its fifth Boeing 777 freighter in May. The shipping giant has also launched new air cargo routes between Milan and Hong Kong, utilizing its AlisCargo subsidiary. Additionally, MSC operates flights to Xiamen, Seoul, and Tokyo, and has begun capitalizing on the high cargo demand out of Dhaka.

As the company continues to develop its integrated global air cargo strategy, Padmore is expected to play a key role in driving new business opportunities across the APAC region.
