    NABARD has sanctioned Rs. 14.40 crore to Government of Rajasthan under Warehouse Infrastructure Fund (WIF) during the year 2023-24.

    Dr. Rajiv Siwach, Chief General Manager, NABARD Rajasthan Regional Office said that Rs. 14.40 crore has been sanctioned for construction of two godowns by Rajasthan State Warehousing Corporation at Kishangarh in Ajmer district for creation of 22500 MT storage capacity.

    Dr. Siwach also said that these godowns will be constructed to provide scientific storage facilities of 22500 MT and may be utilised by farmers, Government agencies, traders and others, and will lead to prevention of wastage of agriculture produce.

    CGM further indicated that approximately 1.20 lakh population of nearby 150 villages will be benefitted.

    As on date, NABARD has cumulatively disbursed Rs. 239.29 crore to the Government of Rajasthan for creation of 3.59 lakh MT storage capacity.
