OBC ONE, the trusted name in time-critical and on board courier (OBC) logistics, has successfully completed a dedicated OBC dangerous goods training certified by IATA – making OBC ONE the first OBC broker to receive the certification.

“To ensure maximum relevance, OBC ONE actively co-developed the training – tailored from the ground up for real-world on board courier operations,” says an official release from OBC ONE.

While IATA certification is standard in the wider air cargo industry, the OBC sector has often lacked specific training tailored to its unique demands, the release added.

“Our team is now fully trained and certified to handle dangerous goods in the OBC context – a first in our field,” says Jonathan Kolb, Founder, OBC ONE. “In emergency logistics, we need to be able to make decisions within seconds. And knowing exactly what can and what can’t fly is a massive advantage for our clients.”

Delivered by a certified training provider and customised for the time-critical courier business, the course empowers the OBC ONE team to:

*Quickly assess and accept or reject DG shipments within OBC scope
*Ensure full compliance while maintaining speed; and
*Communicate confidently with airlines and partners

“In situations like AOG or urgent medical shipments, guessing is not an option. With this training, our team makes informed decisions in real time – and that’s what keeps supply chains running,” adds Kolb.

OBC ONE is a global on board courier/hand carry specialist headquartered in Cyprus, with a growing network of 1,500+ trusted couriers worldwide, the release added.
