Ocean Network Express (ONE) has announced that it will be implementing an Emissions Trading System (ETS) surcharge starting from 1 October 2024 until further notice.
ETS surcharge tariffs will be divided by trade, and their quantity and logic will be amended and updated quarterly.
The ETS surcharge is being implemented in accordance with the expansion of the EU ETS legislation to the maritime/shipping sectors, which began on 1 January 2024.
On 1 March, ONE announced adjustments to the tariffs for the ETS surcharge. Three months later, the carrier announced a new ETS surcharge starting from 1 July 2024.
