Ocean Network Express (ONE) has restructured its Mediterranean service network, unveiling a revamped ST2 service alongside the launch of two new weekly loops aimed at improving connectivity, schedule reliability, and market coverage. The network overhaul is designed to better align services with shifting trade patterns and customer demand across key Mediterranean gateways.

The upgraded ST2 service will feature revised port rotations and enhanced transit times, offering shippers improved access to major Mediterranean hubs and onward connections to Asia and other global trade lanes. ONE said the changes are intended to optimise vessel deployment, reduce congestion-related delays, and provide more consistent weekly sailings.

In addition to the ST2 revamp, ONE is introducing two new weekly loops to strengthen coverage in both the eastern and western Mediterranean. These new services are expected to expand options for exporters and importers, support regional feeder connections, and improve access to secondary ports that are seeing growing cargo volumes.

Industry analysts note that the reshaped network reflects carriers’ ongoing efforts to fine-tune service offerings in response to evolving supply chain requirements and competitive pressures. For customers, the expanded and rebalanced Mediterranean network is expected to deliver greater flexibility, improved service reliability, and enhanced connectivity across the region.
