Florida International Terminal (FIT) has announced that it will begin serving the new FLX refrigerated cargo service from the end of September.

This service will connect Callao (Peru) and Guayaquil (Ecuador) with South Florida and will be operated by ONE.

“We are very pleased to join this new ONE offering, which seeks a direct and fast connection to Latin America. Shipments of fruit, vegetables and seafood from this area continue to grow and our team is committed to supporting these shipments to reach their final markets in optimal condition,” stated Justin P. Weir, general manager of FIT.

The FLX service will operate four vessels in this new trade with a weekly rotation. Callao-South Florida will take 11 days, Paita-South Florida nine days, and Guayaquil-South Florida eight days.

Meanwhile, FLX service provides direct service from South Florida to Honduras, as well as Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.
