Paradeep Parivahan Limited (PPL), a BSE SME-listed integrated logistics and port services company, has secured a 10-year contract with the JSW Group to deploy and operate 100 electric trucks for transporting clinker and slag between Nandyal in Andhra Pradesh and Vijayanagar in Karnataka.

The project will cover an approximately 330-km one-way corridor, with an estimated cargo volume of 1.25 lakh metric tonnes per month. The electric trucks will be supplied by JSW Greentech Limited.

The contract marks a significant step in PPL’s expansion of its industrial logistics operations and green mobility business. With this and other orders, the company expects its total transportation fleet to increase approximately threefold compared with the previous year.

The deployment of 100 electric trucks is estimated to displace around 47.5 lakh litres of diesel and avoid 14,256 tonnes of direct carbon dioxide emissions annually. Actual savings will depend on vehicle utilisation and operating conditions.

Dr. Khalid Khan, Managing Director and CEO of Paradeep Parivahan Limited, said the contract represents an important milestone in the company’s growth strategy, with green mobility becoming a key pillar of its long-term business plans. He highlighted the company’s focus on fleet expansion, technology-enabled logistics, operational efficiency and sustainable transportation solutions.

Founded in 2000 and headquartered at Paradip Port, Odisha, PPL provides integrated logistics, supply chain solutions and port services, including cargo handling, port operations, intra-port transportation and multimodal logistics.

The proposed deployment is expected to strengthen the company’s capabilities in electric heavy-duty transportation and establish a scalable platform for future growth in sustainable industrial logistics.
